Recent projects
Animal Insights works with charities, assurance bodies, campaigners, and educators to apply welfare science in practical, meaningful ways. Our projects span companion, farmed, and exotic species - always focused on improving lives and supporting the people who care for them. We are particularly interested in non-invasive studies on under-represented species which promote animal agency and positive animal welfare.
We supported Raystede Centre for Animal Welfare with a strategic insight project aimed at informing their prevention and education work. Our role included reviewing national and regional datasets, mapping species-specific needs using the Five Domains model, and contributing to the development of outcome frameworks and dashboard-ready tools. The work helped lay the foundation for a more evidence-based and measurable approach to understanding and improving pet welfare across Sussex.
